The food is good, but the prices are ridiculous, and the servings have gotten a lot smaller since they moved to their new location. I drove all the way to PG to get some food for takeout, and there was one waitress in the entire restaurant and one person cooking. It was during the lunch rush, and the waitress was audibly complaining and had a bad attitude the entire time. She ignored me for almost 10 minutes, before finally taking my order, and I ended up paying over $30 for 2 meals. I ordered a side of white rice, and they charged it as an additional meal. When I pointed it out, the waitress told me "that's just how they do it now". I didn't want to argue and I had driven all the way there, so I paid and left, but we will not be going back. M & F International Restaurant in Port Charlotte has even better food, bigger portions, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, they have a buffet a couple times a week, and the staff is very friendly, if you're looking for an alternative to Cilantro's.
Great food but they really don't care about business at the end of the day. We arrived at 8:05 on a Saturday and watched them turn off the "Open" sign. I've been talking this place up to my wife for weeks and when we got there we were kinda turned away. Someone else that worked there offered to let us stay after the fact but I was too upset. We got food to go though and it was good. This was a very disappointing experience.
Was really hoping for a good experience here but I think I need to force myself to come back...NOT ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON... and try this place when there is more than ONE, NOT SO FRIENDLY, waitress, that is doing everything but cooking the food. The mofongo was pretty good, did not care for the Venezuelan empanada, I could taste the bad oil it was fried in..π If you are looking for a quick bite, this is not the place. Everything is cook to order, which should be a good thing, if the kitchen wasn't overwhelmed and it took forever to get anything on the table to eat for the first 1/2 hour we were here, no, drinks, no bread, plantain chips, nothing but a daunting menu that promised wonderful food. SAD π’
Authentic and Delicious with large portions. I love all the food they prepare and I never leave hungry or disappointed. THANK YOU DARY and All the employees at Cilantro's for the great food and the hard work you all do everyday. Keep up the great work!!
Was recommended by a customer in Punta Gorda so I decided to stop by with a co-worker. The food was unbelievably tasty. I was so pleased that it included food from many different locations. The staff was sweet and attentive. Cannot wait to return for seconds. Yummy
It's a little slice of heaven...went there for the first time last night. We ordered a BUNCH of food, everything was amazing. Prices are very reasonable. Very nice place to sit back relax. I'm very happy that this place is in Punta Gorda. Oh and we're ordering more tonight too. :-)
We recently just discovered Cilantro's here in Port Charlotte. We are so glad that we did because we absolutely loved the food! The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the place was very clean! The restaurant has welcoming and friendly atmosphere! We enjoyed it so much that we're about to order lunch from there again today!
We just had the pleasure of eating at Cilantros . there were 4 of us and boy were we surprised. The food was outstanding. This little place is truly a hidden gem and you better bring your appetite because they really feed you. The owners treated us with outstanding patience as we asked her a lot of questions about the menu. We took her suggestions as what to order and it could not of tasted better. This is our new favorite place to dine now I cant say enough about this little gem. It was terrific.
